Caroline Arbour founded SCARO in 2003. From the outset, the jeweller distinguished herself with her reproductions of insects, including the scarab beetle, which she spectacularly designed and sculpted. Her mentor and friend Georges Brossard, founder of the Montreal Insectarium, said of her: "Many artists have tried to draw inspiration from insects in their creations. However, none have achieved the degree of purity that Caroline Arbour does." SCARO creations are high-end jewellery made of gold or sterling silver. SCARO's unique or numbered limited edition pieces are available in many points of sale in Quebec and Paris. Since 2015, Artêria Art Gallery has represented the jeweller-sculptor in New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, the Hamptons, and Seoul.
