CHARLES VALCOURT

Cabinetmaker

A native of Val-d'Or in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Charles Valcourt has always had a deep passion for wood, nature, and creation. After studying environmental design and cabinetmaking, he founded his first workshop in 1994.

A member of the Quebec Crafts Council since 1999, he creates unique furniture, lighting, and objects, focusing on precious, exotic, and local wood veneers. His collection Luz Exotica, born from a happy accident, marked the beginning of a creative approach recognized for its sleek, functional, and original design.

In 2007, he launched Les Bois magnétiques, a collection of multi-functional objects that combines fine cabinetry, design, and ingenuity.
