CERAMIST
As Canadian philosopher Marshall MacLuhan said, 'the medium is the message.' I use clay as my medium because, for me, it is the material through which we are all united: the earth. From my studio located in the Rosemont industrial center in Tio'tia:ke Montreal, I dream, play, create, and explore. Influenced by my studies in fine arts and ceramic crafts, I create objects that are at once utilitarian, sculptural, and decorative, aiming to bring a touch of magic to everyday life. In my practice, I work instinctively, using my hands as eyes and clay as a language to communicate through the senses and feelings. My goal is for my pieces to make people think and feel, to create a sense of presence, magic, and continuous exploration.
